Dominic by L.A. Casey
Slater Brothers #1
4.5 Love The Fighting, Swearing Lot Of Them

Blurb - After a car accident killed her parents when she was a child, Bronagh Murphy chose to box herself off from people in an effort to keep herself from future hurt. If she doesn't befriend people, talk to them or acknowledge them in any way they leave her alone just like she wants.

When Dominic Slater enters her life, ignoring him is all she has to do to get his attention. Dominic is used to attention, and when he and his brothers move to Dublin, Ireland for family business, he gets nothing but attention. Attention from everyone except the beautiful brunette with a sharp tongue.

Dominic wants Bronagh and the only way he can get to her, is by dragging her from the boxed off corner she has herself trapped in the only way he knows how...by force.

Dominic wants her, and what Dominic wants, Dominic gets.

Dominic is book #1 in the Slater Brothers series and the first book I have read by this author.
This book was bloody hilarious!!!

The characters are all loud and brash and absolute gobshites and I fell in love with all of them!!

This book may be called Dominic but this is without a doubt the Bronagh show!!

Bronagh is sharp, witty and sarcastic but if all that fails then watch yourself because she will either punch you in the face or hit you in the head with anything she can find!!!  God I absolutely love her, she’s only a kid, still in school but she’s one of my favourite female characters I’ve read in ages.

I love the fact that none of the characters have any filter at all, they all swear and basically say whatever comes into their head. They all swear like sailors and are incredibly violent.

The only thing that’s weird about this book is the fact that Bronagh and Dominic are still in high school. Even thinking back on the book now I’ve finished it still feels like they should have been older.

Dominic, what an absolute arsehole he’s brilliant, I think I’m sort of in love with him a little bit. He’s insanely protective and an ultimate alpha male, and god he’s only 18, but he’s also an absolutely obnoxious, cocky idiot.

Dominic and Bronagh spend as much time fighting and throwing things at one another as they do being all loved up but the connection and chemistry they have together is explosive and adorable.

Dominic takes the piss out of Bronagh and she insults him and brings his ego down a few notches. They are literally perfect for one another.

I love Bronagh’s sister Branna she’s like a slightly more restrained version of Bronagh, I love that she encourages Bronagh to be more daring rather than discouraging her and keeping her away from Dominic.

The fact that two groups of orphans end up creating one big happy family is so lovely, poor Bronagh is a bit of a headcase at the start of the book, but this group of greek god looking guys manage to sneak under her defences and give her a reason to love again. So f’ing sweet!!

The twist of who the Slater’s are and their ‘Jobs’ was a bit daft but who cares.
I loved this book, its light hearted and brilliant

There are five Slater brothers and I can’t wait to read all of their stories.

Dominic gets 4.5 stars from me.

Bronagh by L.A. Casey
Slater Brothers #1.5
4 Loud, Swearing Loveliness

Blurb - Bronagh Murphy has been through a lot over the past few years, a hell of a lot, so when her 21st birthday rolls around all she wants to do is relax and spend the day with her family. Quietly.

Her boyfriend, Dominic Slater, doesn't do relaxed or quiet. He never has, and he never will. He plans out a day for Bronagh that is both romantic, and exciting. However, Dominic's version of exciting is very different to Bronagh's as she will soon find out.

When things take a turn for the worst, and a bad altercation leaves Dominic once again fighting for his girl, Bronagh will have to decide once and for all if she will fight in Dominic's corner or walk away and never look back.

Bronagh loves Dominic, and what Bronagh loves, Bronagh protects.

Bronagh is book #1.5 in the Slater Brothers series.
It’s an adorably sweet novella that picks up 3 years after the end of Dominic, I’m so glad that this book has been named after the star of the show Bronagh herself.

I’m totally team Bronagh, she’s so incredible over the top and melodramatic that I instantly start laughing the moment she kicks off with Dominic or Branna.

She’s just so funny!!! I love that she doesn’t tone it down in this companion novella. We all love Bronagh because she’s so out there and brash, she’s so totally normal, unfit, slightly overweight, snappy and a bit of a bitch!!!

I love L.A. Casey’s writing style, every word seems to roll of f the page with ease and it all felt conversational rather than forced.

This author knows these characters so they stay true to form and consistently unique.
Dominic and Bronagh’s sex scenes are really intense but still manage to stay cheeky and light-hearted without stepping into full blown erotica.

Dominic is still as lovely yet still a knob head and the connection and banter that made him and Bronagh a great couple is still there.

Don’t get me wrong this novella is all a bit daft but it was so nice to get another story about these guys that I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Bronagh gets 4 stars from me.
